BALYNTSI. Birthplace of Y. Barnych, a composer (1896-1967). Commemorative sign to Y. Barnych.

BELELUIA. Birthplace of P. Bazhanskyi (1836-1920), a composer and N. Kobrynska (1855- 1920), a writer, leader of the woman movement. House where she lived. Monument to T. Shevchenko.

BILI OSLAVY. Birthplace of Mariia Pighirianka (1881-1963), a writer. Churches dated 1746 and 1835. Monument to T. Shevchenko.

BIL’SHIVTSI. Polish church (1623).

BOHORODCHANY. Polish church (1742). Houses of priesthood (1762). Dominican church (1840). Monument to T.Shevchenko. Birthplace of O.Hirnyka (1912-1978) who committed the act of self-immolation on Taras’ Hill in Kaniv protesting the denial of the rights of Ukrainians. Commemorative sign to O.Hirnyk.

BOLEKHIV. N.Kobrynska, a writer, leader of the woman movement lived here in 1884-1920. Museum, grave and monument to N.Kobrynska. Tombs of soldiers killed in the World War I and soldiers of the Ukrainian Halych Army (UHA). The bed of honor of Soviet soldiers killed in 1944. Monument to I.Franko. BRATYSHIV. Birthplace of H.Kruk (1911-1988), a sculptor. Mariika Pidhirianka, a writer worked here in 1938-1944. Commemorative signs to T.Shevchenko, Lesia Ukrainka, Mariika Pidhirianka, H.Kruk.

BRUSTURIV. Church (1785). Crafts – weaving, works made of metal, wood, cheese.

BUBNYSHCHE. Rock and cave complex of 13-14 centuries.

BURKUT. Commemorative sign in honor of Lesia Ukrainka who was treated here in 1901. Near the village there is a so-called hanging swamp well-known in the East Carpathians.

BURSHTYN. Monument to T.Shevchenko. Commemorative sign in honor of M.Shashkevych. Excursion object – Burshtyn power station. Burshtyn power station museum.

VELYKYI ROZHYN. Church (1783). Crafts – weaving.

VERBIVTSI. Birthplace of M.Holynskyi (1890-1973), an opera singer. Commemorative sign to M.Holynskyi. Monument to M.Hrushevskyi. Commemorative sign on a place of perdition of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army soldiers.

VERKHNII YASENIV. Church (1882). Crafts – embroidery, weaving, wood works.

VERKHNIA LYPYTSIA. Settlement and sepulchral mound (2-3 centuries B.C.) which gave a name to the lypytska archeological culture.

VERKHOVYNA. Monuments to T.Shevchenko and I.Franko. Commemorative sign to Y.Solomiichuk-Yuzenchuk , a founder of "Siches" in the Hutsulshchyna. Crafts – embroidery, wood works.

VYSHKIV. Cemetery of soldiers killed in the World War I on the Vyskivskyi pass.

VIKTORIV. Church (18 c.). Birthplace of S.Vysochan (year of birth unknown), one of the leaders of the liberation movement in the Precarpathian Region, B.Khmelnytskyi’s companion-in-arms.

VOVCHYNETS’. The first monument to T.Shevchenko (1911) in Precarpathian Region and one of the first in Ukraine.

VOINYLIV. Church (1615). Father of M.Yevshan (Fediushky) (1889-1919), lieutenant of UHA. Commemorative sign to M. Yevshan. The bed of honor of totalitarian regime victims.

VOROKHTA. Church (1615). Railroad stone arched bridge (1894). Mountainous climatic resort. Center of tourism and downhill skiing.

VOSKRESYNTSI. Birthplace of Les Hryniuk (1883-1911), a writer. Ivan Franko was here in 1884. Olha Kobylianska came here in 1932. Monument to T.Shevchenko.

HALYCH. The Nativity church (13-14 c.). Ruins of a castle (14-17c.). The bed of honor of Soviet soldiers killed in 1944 and totalitarian regime victims. Monument to compatriots killed in a concentration camp Talerhof during World War II. Monument to T.Shevchenko. National historical and cultural park "Ancient Halych".

HVIZD. Church (1739).

HVIZDETS’. Church (1855). Birtplace of Y.Pstrak (1878-1916), a painter. Commemorative sign to the painter. Bernardyn monastery (18 c.).

HOLOVY. House which was visited by I.Franko and M.Kotsiubynskyi in 1902 and 1912. Monument to participants of the Hutsul Revolt in 1920.

HOLOSKIV. Birthplace of a Polish writer F.Karpinskyi (1741-1825).

HORODENKA. Polish church (1760). Churches (1763 and 1879). Former halls of the Polish church (18 c.). The tomb of T.Okunevskyi, a public figure. The bed of honor of Soviet soldiers killed in 1944. The bed of honor of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army soldiers. A house of the former gymnasium and "Peoples House" where worked A.Krushelnytskyi, a writer and lived V.Bandurak, a writer. Monument to T.Shevchenko.

HOSHIV. Basilian monastery (16 c.) on the Mt.Yasna.

HRABIVKA. The capital of partisans in the Black forest. There were numerous combats of UIA detachments with fascists and bolsheviks in the vicinities of the village. A commemorative sign on a place of the future UIA museum "Black forest".

DELIATYN. Church 1785. A house where in 1906-1912 lived Marko Cheremshyna, a writer. A literary museum of Marko Cheremshyna. The bed of honor of Soviet soldiers killed in 1944. A tomb of H.Holynskyi and other UHA soldiers. Crafts – embroidery, leather goods.

DZVYNIACH. The bed of honor of the ozocerite mine’s miners killed by Polish in 1926 after a strike. A commemorative sign on the last battle place of Marko Boieslav (Mykhailo Diachenko), a poet of UIA.

DOLYNA. Saltern (18-19 c.). Tombs of soldiers killed in the World War I. The bed of honor of Soviet soldiers killed in 1944. Monuments to T.Shevchenko, M.Hrushevskyi. A commemorative sign to Y.Lopatynskyi, a composer.

DOLYNA. Birthplace of M.Brynskyi, a sculptor (1883-1957). A house-museum of the sculptor.

ZHOVCHIV. A house where used to be B.Lepkyi in the 20s. Museum of B.Lepkyi and heroes of liberation competitions. Monument to T.Shevchenko.

ZHUKIV. Church (1710). Birthplace of M.Romanovskyi (1834-1863), a Polish writer.

ZABOLOTIV. Obelisk on the place of the May demonstration fusillade in 1924 by Polish police. Monument to I.Franko.

ZAHIRIA. Church (18 c.).

ZALANIV. Church (1724).

ZARICHCHIA. Stele on a place where a partisan detachment of S.Kovpak fought with fascist troopsin August 1943. Partisan glory park.

KALUSH. Birthplace of A.Mohylnytskyi, a poet and public figure (1811-1973), M.Kozoriz, a writer (1882-1937), I.Rubchak, an actor (1874-1952). Commemorative signs to these prominent people. A commemorative complex "Hill of Glory". A house where I.Franko used to make speeches. Museum and a dwelling house of I.Franko’s family. A tomb of O.Hirnyk (see BOHORODCHANY). Monuments to T.Shevchenko, I.Franko.

CARPATHIAN NATURAL AND NATIONAL PARK. The first national park in Ukraine (area 50 303 ha) was created in 1980 to protect landscapes of the Ukrainian Carpathians, organize tourism and spread ecological knowledge.

KLISHCHIVNA. Church (16-17 c.).

KOBAKY. Birthplace of Marko Cheremshyna (1874-1927). A house-museum of the writer. Monument to Marko Cheremhyna.

KOLOMYIA. Birthplace of S.Hordynskyi, an art expert (1906-1993) and A.Kos-Anatolskyi, a composer (1909-1983). Church (1587). A former gymnasium (1875). A former city hall (1877). Tombs of A.Chaikovskyi, a writer, K.Trylovskyi, a public figure, Ivanna Biberovych, I.Biberovych, M.Bentsal, actors. A house where V.Stefanyk, Marko Cheremshyna, Les Martovych, M.Pavlyk, Myroslav Irchan and P.Kozlaniuk were taught. Museum of Folk Art of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttia dedicated to I.Kobrynskyi. Museum of History of Kolomyia. Monuments to T.Shevchenko, M.Hrushevskyi, Myroslav Irchan, A.Mitskevych. Commemorative signs to victims of fascism, to I.Franko, M.Shashkevych, I.Kobrynskyi, a public figure and teacher, K.Trylovskyi. The city is one of the centers of Hutsul art.

KOMARIV. Church (1806). Settlement and sepulchral mound of bronze age (15-18 centuries B.C.) which gave a name to the komarivska culture.

KOSIV. Birthplace of M.Pavlyk, a writer and public figure (1853-1915). Museum to M.Pavlyk (public). Museum of Folk Art of Hutsulshchyna. The bed of honor of Soviet soldiers killed in 1944. The bed of honor of totalitarian regime victims. Tombs of carvers M.Mehedyniuk and V.Devdiuk. Monuments to T.Shevchenko and M.Pavlyk. Climatic resort. A recognized center of Hutsul folk art.

KOSMACH. Church (1905). O.Dovbush, a leader of Carpathian opryshky (outlaws) was killed in the village in 1745. A commemorative sign in honor of O.Dovbush. O.Novakivskyi, a painter conducted summer classes for students of his art school in 1924-1934. A stronghold of UIA in the Carpathians. Victorious combats with Bolsheviks. Museum of Applied Art (on voluntary basis). Crafts – embroidery, weaving, beads, Easter-egg painting, art goods made of cheese. Iryna Vilde, A.Kos-Anatolskyi, O.Bilash, V.Ivasiuk used to come to the village.

KRASNOILLIA. Church 1843. House in which was a Hutsul Public Theatre. Literary and memorial museum of H.Khotkevych. A commemorative sign dedicated to the abolition of serfdom.

KRYVORIVNIA. Church 1719. Many famous representatives of Ukrainian culture and art during the whole century used to come here to rest. That is why sometimes the village is called "Carpathian Athens". A Literary and Memorial Museum of I Franko in a house in which a writer used to rest almost every summer in 1901-1914. Monument to I.Franko. P.Kharuk’s house in which I.Franko stayed. A commemorative sign to M.Hrushevskyi. Memorial plaques to V.Hnatiuk, M.Kotsubynskyi.

KRYLOS. The remains of the Halych princedom –capital of Halych and the Halych-Volyn State in 11-13 centuries. Uspenskyi cathedral (12 c., foundation). Chapel (1550). A commemorative sign on the place of burying of King Yaroslav Osmomysl. Museums. Historical National Park "Ancient Halych". Birthplace of Y.Romanchuk (1842-1932), a political and cultural figure.

KROPYVNYK. Church (1818). Birthplace of K.Malytska (1872-1947), a writer. A commemorative sign to K.Malytska.

KUTY. Monument to M.Pavlyk. A commemorative sign in honor of I.Franko’s staying. Crafts – embroidery, weaving, ceramics, artistic wood works.

LANCHYN. Birthplace of Y.Shkrumeliuk (1895-1965), a writer. Monument to Y.Shkrumeliuk. The bed of honor dedicated to totalitarian regime victims.

LOLYN. I.Franko often came to the village in 1874-1876. Here he fell in love for the first time with Olha Roshkevych. Monument to I.Franko. Museum of a writer (on voluntarily basis).

MANIAVA. Historical and architectural complex – Maniavskyi Skyt monastery (1611). Church (1819). Museum of Nature which belongs to Solotvyn wood-processing plant (on the voluntarily basis).

MEDUKHA. Birthplace of D.Vitovskyi (1887-1919), an ideologist of Sich Riflers, leader of revolt in Lviv in November 1918, one of the initiators of the Western Ukrainian Peoples Republic. Monument to D.Vitovskyi.

MYKYTYNTSI. Church. 1859. House of Y.Holovatskyi who lived there in 1842-1848 being a priest in the village, one of the founders of "Rus Triitsia" Rus Trinity. Commemorative sign to Y.Holovatskyi.

MYKULYCHYN. Church (1868). Climatic resort.

NADVIRNA. The bed of honor of Soviet soldiers killed in 1944. The bed of honor of totalitarian regime victims. Monument to T. Shevchenko. Monument to 100 anniversary of Nadvirna oil. (1968). Museum of Nadvirna Liberation Competitions (on the voluntarily basis).

NEBYLIV. Two villagers V.Yelyniak and I.Pylypiv who left the village in 1890 and initiated emigration to North America. Commemorative sign to 100 anniversary of emigration to Canada.

NYZHNIV. Churches (18 c. and 1872). Mill (19 c.). Monument to B.Khmelnytskyi. Beginning of the picturesque Dnistrovskyi canyon.

NYZHNYI BEREZIV. Church 1844. House in which in 1880 and 1913 lived I.Franko. Commemorative sign to I.Franko. Commemorative sign to emigration figures – sons of the village. Museum of history of the village (on the voluntarily basis).

OSMOLODA. Industrial architecture monument – blastfurnace (1811) in the steading Anheliv.

OTYNIIA. Headquarters of the revolt army of S.Vysochan in 1648 during a war for liberation headed by B.Khmelnytskyi. Church (1877). Polish church (1905). Monument to T.Shevchenko.

PAVLIVKA. Birthplace of Y.Tselevych (1843-1892). Commemorative sign to Y.Tsilevych. Monument to T.Shevchenko.

PASICHNA. Tomb of Sofiia Halechko, a famous ensign of sich shooters.

PEREHINS’KE. Tomb of totalitarian regime victims. Crafts – weaving, woodcrafts.

PERERYV. Birthplace of P.Kozlaniuk (1904-1965), a writer. Literary and memorial museum of P.Kozlaniuk (public).

PECHENIZHYN. Birthplace of Oleksa Dovbush, a leader of carpathians rebels and highwaymen (1700-1745). Monument and museum of O.Dovbush (public). Commemorative sign in honor of the abolition of serfdom. Tomb of totalitarian regime victims.

PIDHIRIA. Birthplace of I.Kapushchak (18076-1868), a village leader, a deputy of the first Austrian parliament. Tomb of I.Kapushchak. Churches (1832 and 1836).

PISTYN’. Church (1858). Crafts – embroidery, weaving.

PNIV. Castle (16 c., ruins).

POROHY. Birthplace of M.Sosenko (1875-1920), an artist.

PRYOZERNE. Manor and park (18-19 c.).

PUKIV. Birthplace of P.Sheremet (1897-1922), one of the leaders of struggle against Polish occupation. Plebania (1793).

PIADYKY. Birthplace of S.Melnychuk (1898-1922), one of the leaders of struggle against Polish occupation and Myroslav Irchan (1897-1937), a writer. Monuments to S.Melnychuk and Myroslav Irchan. Museum to Yaroslav Irchan. Church 1827.

RAKOVETS’. Castle tower (1658). Church 1834.

RICHKA. Church (1896). Crafts – embroidery, weaving, goods made of metal, wood and cheese.

ROHATYN. Churches (14-15 centuries, 1598 and 1729). Polish church (15 c.). Commemorative signs to I.Krypjiakevych, a historian, A.Krushelnytskyi, a writer, Y.Pankevych, a painter. House, where lived M.Uhryn-Bezhrishnyi, a writer. Birthplace of Roksolana (Nastia Lisovska, 1505-1561), a wife of a Turkish sultan. She played an important role in the political life of the Osman empire. The bed of honor of Soviet soldiers killed in 1944. The bed of honor of URA soldiers. Museum of wood architecture and painting. SERAFYNTSI. Birthplace of L.Bachynskyi (1872-1930), a political and public figure. Commemorative sign to L.Bachynskyi.

SNIATYN. Churches (18 c. and 1838). Former city hall (1861). Birthplace of V.Kasiian (1896-1976), a painter. Artistic and memorial museum to V.Kasiian. Literary museum of Marko Cheremshyna in a house where he lived and worked in 1912-1927. Tomb of Marko Cheremshyna. Monuments to Marko Cheremshyna and V.Kasiian.

SOLOTVYN. Historical museum (public).

STARYI UHRYNIV. Birthplace of S.Bandera (1909-1959), a leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN). Historical and memorial museum of S.Bandera. Monument to S.Bandera.

STARUNIA. Old ozocerite mines, where they found the remains of a mammoth and pilose rhinoceros.

STRATYN. Around 1600 there was opened one of the first printing houses in Ukraine where used to work Hedeon Balaban, Pamvo Berynda. Monument to T.Shevchenko.

TATARIV. Church (18 c.) The bed of honor of Austrian soldiers and a monument from times of World War I. Climatic resort.

TYSMENYTSIA. Birthplace Iov Kniahynytskyi (around 1550-1621), a founder of Maniavskyi Skyt, and K.Levytskyi (1859-1941), a political figure and a first head of West Ukrainian Peoples Republic government. Church 1736. Monument to T.Shevchenko. Commemorative sign to K.Levytakyi.

TYSHKIVTSI. Family estate of the Shuhevychies’ dynasty. Founder – O.Shuhevych (1816-1870), a Greek-Catholic priest and translator and writer. V.Shuhevych, a teacher and etnograph, R.Shuhevych, a lawyer and a commander of a hundred soldiers, R.Shuhevych (Taras Chuprynka), Commander-in-Chief. Family Museum of the Shuhevychies (on voluntary basis). Monument to R.Shuhevych.

TLUMACH. Tombs of UHA soldiers. The bed of honor of Soviet soldiers killed in 1944. House where worked I.Makuh, a political and public figure, Minister of the West Ukrainian Peoples Republic. Commemorative sign to I.Makuh. Museum of Mariia Pidhirianka (on voluntary basis).

TORHOVYTSIA. Birthplace of Les Martovych (1871-1916), a writer. Literary museum of the writer. Monument to Les Martovych.

UHORNYKY. Birthplace of Olha Roshkevych (1857-1935), first love of I.Franko and S.Lenkavskyi (1904-1977), an ideologist of OUN, author of " Decalogue od a nationalist".

USTIA. Church (1853). Monument to T.Shevchenko.

UTOROPY. Birthplace of T.Melnychuk (1938-1995), a poet, prizeman of the State premium dedicated to T.Shevchenko, former Political prisoner.

KHLIBYCHYN. Church (1854).

TSVITOVA. Historical museum (public).

TSINEVA. Church (1745). Historical museum (public).

TSUTSYLIV. Commemorative sign in honor of the abolition of serfdom. Memorial cemetery of URA (Ukrainian Revolt Army) soldiers.

CHERNELYTSIA. Polish church (1661). Castle (17 c., ruins). Church (1897).

CHERNIIV. Church (1846). Monument on the tomb of M.Stasiuk, a villager, who was killed during "bloody" baden elections in 1897.

CHERCHE. Churches (1733 and 1898). Balneomud resort. Commemorative sign on a place of a villa "Bohdanivka" presented to B.Lepkyi by grateful readers.

CHESNYKY. Church (15 c.).

CHORTOVETS’. Birthplace of O.Pleshkan (1898-1985), a painter. Commemorative sign to V. Stefanyk. Churches 1790 and 1868.

SHEVCHENKOVE. St. Panteleimon’s church (17 c.) – the oldest architectural monument of the region.

SHEPARIVTSI. Commemorative sign on a place of fusillade of peaceful people by fascists.

SHESHORY. Church (1874). Monument to T.Shevchenko. Crafts – embroidery, weaving, goods made of wood.

YABLUNYTSIA. Pass across the Carpathian ridge (931 m). Center of skiing and tourism.

YABLUNIV. The bed of honor of totalitarian regime victims. Monuments to I.Franko, M.Matviiv-Melnyk. Monument in honor of independence of Ukraine. Crafts – weaving.

YAVORIV. Ancient craft center. Tombs of M.Shkribliak, S.Korpaniuki – masters of carving. Museum of Folk Art (on voluntary basis).

YAREMCHE. Churches (17 and 18 c.) Monument on the bed of honor of partisans. Monument to Oleksa Dovbush. One of the caves and a stone in the suburbs of a town deal with a name of Dovbush. Iryna Vilde, a writer, M.Holynskyi, a singer had their own summer houses and used to have a rest here. Museum of Liberation Competitions. Climatic resort. Recognized center of tourism.

YASEN’. Church (1786). Birthplace of I.Vahylevych (1811-1866), a writer, one of the founders of "Rus Triitsia" (Rus Trinity). Commemorative sign in honor of 100 anniversary of almanac "Rusalka Dnistrovaia" (Mermaid Dnistrovaia). Monument of "Sobriety". Historical museum dedicated to I.Vahylevych (on voluntary basis).
